If you didn’t already know this, I love Iceland. Now I don’t mean I like Iceland a little, but I really, really like Iceland. One might say that what I have for Iceland is a little bit of a love affair and it totally took me by surprise. Every experience I’ve had in Iceland has always been a positive one. I adore the people, culture, and of course, the landscape that is uniquely Iceland. Whenever I visit I take loads of pics to use them here on the blog and in social media. On my last trip in October, I used IcelandAir‘s special hashtag, #MyStopover, good for use on FaceBook, Twitter, and Instagram, and posted away.
I’m a huge fan of the StopOver experience with IcelandAir as you can fly from the US and beyond with a stopover in Iceland at no extra cost. The airline is fantastic and anytime I can get a chance to spend a few hours or days in Iceland — I’m so on it!
That’s why I was elated when I received a message from IcelandAir asking if they could use one of my pics from Instagram. Of course, I said, “Yes!” My picture is one of my favorites taken inside the Blue Lagoon with the white silica on the crater-like rocks.
My image appears on page 54 of IcelandAir‘s Spring 2015 StopOver In-Flight magazine. This in-flight magazine is one of the best I’ve read on flights and I always read it in its entirety, including the duty-free shopping. Did you honestly expect me not to shop?
IcelandAir was kind enough to send me a print copy of the magazine as well as a Hot Spring “Kerid” CD with music from Sin Fang, whom I met last year, Mammút, Starwalker, 1860, and others.
