You may have liked the view in pics from my post, The View from Hallgrímskirkja, but how about this view in video form from from Hallgrimskirkja church? At 244 feet tall, this Lutheran church towers over the landscape and provides spectacular 360 degree views of Reykjavik and beyond.
Take a look at my short video below that was shot from up high in the steeple inside Hallgrímskirkja church for incredible view of Reykjavík.
TSG Tip: If you have a chance to visit Hallgrimskirkja church, don’t walk right by the statue of Leif Eriksson. A gift from the United States to Iceland to commemorate the 1,000th anniversary of Iceland’s parliament at Þingvellir in 930 AD, you’ll learn a little about United States history by learning about Icelandic history.
As we start to wrap up Iceland, we have our Northern Lights tour up next before we head to the Blue Lagoon prior to my flight to London. So much to do, so little time.
