In between seeing St. Peters Cathedral and Alte Kapelle, Karla and I stopped off at the cutest little cupcake shop in Regensburg, Germany called The Cupcakery. When we entered, I immediately noticed that we were the only customers in the entire place. Nothing like having an entire cafe to yourself, right? We were all up for having cupcakes at The Cupcakery in Regensburg, Germany.
Upon entering the Cupcakery, you’ll immediately notice the exposed stone wall on the left side, which lends to a somewhat cavernous appearance to the cafe.
But let your gaze wander to the other side and you’ll see the bright red glossy piano set center stage on a Union Jack rug and the mood definitely shifts. There is an eclectic collection of British paraphernalia in the side cupboard that you can look at while you’re waiting for your coffee and cupcakes, like we did.
Speaking of cupcakes, look at the fresh and bountiful selection available on the day we visited. Triple Chocolate, Oreo, or how about New York Cheesecake? Karla was tempted and indulged in a pretty pink topped chocolate cupcake that was moist and delicious. I splurged on a strong cappuccino and took a seat in the corner where we sat back, relaxed and chatted.
How are you supposed to choose? They all look so good!
In addition to great service and tasty cupcakes and coffee, I spotted this mural next to the piano of one of the owners. You definitely have to be committed to your business otherwise you wouldn’t go so far as to put your likeness on the wall!
The Cupcakery was a great place to stop off for a bit before heading back out on our day of exploration in Regensburg.
