If you love to travel as much as I do, there’s probably one thing you hate as much as I do and that’s the high price of staying connected while traveling. Granted, you could turn on international roaming, but who wants to pay for that? The people over at Tep Wireless felt the same way and wanted to do something about it. They ended up creating a portable WiFi device that’s perfect for international travel and puts an end to international roaming charges.
Tep Portable WiFi
When I first learned about the Tep Wireless portable WiFi device, I knew I had to try it. With global WiFi coverage for travelers covering a great deal of the world, why wouldn’t I want to give it a try?
I received my device in the mail and packed the small unit right into my carry on bag for my next trip. It wasn’t long before I was able to use my new portable WiFi device from Tep Wireless as I was headed to Scotland.
As soon as we landed I was able to connect and didn’t need to try to constantly locate and connect to free WiFi. That meant not having to worry about whether I had one hour of free internet, where to connect to next, or having to pay those God awful overpriced hotel connection fees.
The Tep Wireless Portable WiFi Device
What I really like about the Tep Wireless portable WiFi device is how small it is. It’s your own personal WiFi hotspot that fits into your pocket or bag for WiFi coverage wherever you go when you’re on the go.
But even better is how easy it is to use. All you have to do is unzip the bag, turn on the device and you’re ready to go. Should you ever have any issues, Tep Wireless has 24/7 customer support via phone, email, chat, social media, WhatsApp, or SMS.Having WiFi access while on the road made it feel like it does when I'm at home. Having WiFi access while on the road made it feel like it does when I’m at home. I don’t think about whether or not I can connect when I’m in the U.S. — I just do. So that meant whether I was sitting at dinner and wanted to take a picture of my meal to share on social media or…
If I was sitting on a sightseeing bus in Glasgow or…
If I was in the middle of nature in the Scottish Highlands or…
Near water in Fort William, I always had a strong connection to the Internet thanks to my Tep Wireless portable Wifi device. With an 8-hour battery life, I never had to worry that it was going to stop working while I was out taking pictures, video, or driving.
Connecting with Your Tep Wireless Device
Having your own WiFi network with a unique password allows you to connect up to 5 devices at the same time. That meant that I could connect to my iPhone, but also with my laptop, iPad, GoPro camera, and Mr. TSG could connect as well (if I let him). This was especially helpful when I was driving and needed to use Google Maps to find my way.
Did I mention that you rent the device? No need to make a big technology commitment with Tep Wireless because you only need to pay for the dates you’ll use it. Just go to the website, enter in your dates, and prepay your rental days. The device is then shipped to you, you use it, and return it when you’re done with it. For frequent travelers there’s even an option to buy the device and prepay for your service at a lower rate.Compare prices for international roaming from your wireless carrier with the low cost daily rates from Tep Wireless and you'll agree that this one is a no brainer. Compare prices for international roaming from your wireless carrier with the low cost daily rates from Tep Wireless and you’ll agree that this one is a no brainer. While I’ve used and reviewed a number of travel products, Tep Wireless is probably my favorite and I definitely will never leave home without it again.
While Tep Wireless provided me with portable Wifi device to try out and review, all opinions on the above product are my own.
