My Must See and Do List for a Trip to Dubai

I’ve been talking about visiting Dubai for a few years now and it still ranks high up on my bucket list. The most heavily populated city in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Dubai attracts tourists through its fantastic shopping opportunities and its many major tourist attractions. Anyone who looks at wanting to visit there might ask What Is Dubai’s Best Hotel? There are many hotels in Dubai, so plan ahead and book hotel accommodations in Dubai near your must see attractions.

But after arriving and settling into your hotel, what should you do next? I’ve put together a list of things I want to see and do while there, and here are just a few of them.

Burj Khalifa

For me, no visit to Dubai would seem complete without a visit to the top of the Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building. I’m talking about going all the way up to the top, to the Burj Khalifa’s observation deck. Measuring 2,716.5 feet (828 meters) with more than 160 stories, the Burj Khalifa also has the highest outdoor observation deck and tallest service elevator in the world. Buy your admission tickets in advance to save time, then take in that glorious view.

Transportation: The closest Metro Station is Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall Station, which is an easy 14-minute walk away from your destination.

Dubai Mall

Are you ready to do some shopping? There’s nowhere better for that than the Dubai Mall. In addition to shopping at any one of the 1,200 shops in this mall, which boasts more floor space than any other mall in the world, did you know that you have a wide variety of entertainment options at the Dubai Mall? After shopping, visitors can enjoy the aquarium, ice skating, dining, a movie theater, Dubai Dino, The Dubai Fountain, and much more.

The Dubai Fountain

Have you ever seen the fountains at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas? Then you’re already familiar with the work of WET Design and the creators of The Dubai Fountain. In a city where everything appears to be the biggest and best in the world, The Dubai Fountain is no different. Crowned as the world’s largest choreographed fountain system, it’s situated on the 30-acre Burj Lake and has over 6,600 WET Superlights and 25 colored projectors. Water can shoot up to 500 feet, and you can hear a wide variety of music that accompanies the shows, from contemporary Arabic to classical music to world music.

Transportation: The closest Metro Station is Burj Khalifa Metro Station, which is a 16-minute walk away from downtown Dubai.

Skydive Dubai

Perhaps you’re looking for something out of the ordinary while in Dubai. May I recommend Skydive Dubai? If you want to feel the world rush past your face as you plummet 13,000 feet towards the ground at 120 mph, then this will be the thrill of your life. Whether you skydive solo or tandem, there isn’t anything quite like skydiving in Dubai, whether from The Palm Campus or the Desert Campus.

Transportation: The closest metro station to the Palm Campus is Damac Metro Station, which is about a 26-minute walk away. The closest metro station to the Desert Campus is Burj Khalifa Metro Station, where you can take the metro and a bus to the location in about 90 minutes.

Whether you’re off to Dubai to shop, to see the sights, or to jump out of a plane, you’ll find that there are always bigger and better things to do in Dubai than anywhere else in the word.
