Lucky me! I was tagged in the #CTC13 Capture the Color photo competition by Aaron of The Adventures of elATLboy +The Adventures of Elatlboy (on Twitter as @elaltboy). What is is the #T13 Capture the Color photo competition? It’s a photo competition sponsored by Travel Supermarket and it was a success last year and so they brought it back.
The five colors I needed to use in my pictures were yellow, red, green, white, and blue.
Yellow: Bright tropical yellow in Negril? Yes, thank you! This is one of the buildings at the Grand Pineapple Beach resort in Negril, Jamaica. If you’re not smiling and feeling happy when you walk around here, nothing will help you. Unless maybe you grab some kind of cold tropical drink…
Red: Nothing says red like the funnel on the Disney Magic! Bright, iconic, and true Disney red. You instantly know fun is in store when you see the bright red funnel and the trademark Mickey logo.
Green: The beautiful greens of Iceland can’t be compared to anywhere else. I love how the water reflects the mountain and best of all, this photo has not been retouched in any way. Those are real Icelandic green colors! I don’t think anyone would be able to spot me in a lineup in Iceland since I always had a camera of some kind stuck to my face every time I’ve been there. Best part is that there is something different to see no matter where you go and the country changes as the seasons change.
: An example of this is Iceland in the winter. The white is so white you can’t sometimes decipher whether what you’re looking at is real since your brain won’t comprehend the scale of the scenery. Is that sky? Is that mountain? Does it matter? Crisp, clean, white snow on a beautiful backdrop of Iceland = perfection.
Blue: What an unexpected surprise it was to see the bluest of blue sunsets while on the Amazon in Colombia, South America. I loved the puffy clouds floating along in the sky above us as we drifted along in our boat. The blues were then mixed in with yellows and pinks as the sun continued to set. Gorgeous!

These are gorgeous. The Disney smoke stack is so vibrant but my favorite is “white” and the Icelandic winter. Nicely done my friend!
