If you’re looking for exclusivity and the kind of service and amenities available only to a few, to the elite, then consider cruising in the MSC Yacht Club on your next cruise. The ship within a ship concept allows you to enjoy all of the privileges of the ship, in our case it was the MSC Preziosa, while having a more relaxed and intimate experience inside the Yacht Club.
And did I mention the butler service? Incredible and professional, the butlers in the MSC Yacht Club provide the kind of service that will absolutely spoil you. This was our butler, the sweet, the kind, and the completely unflappable Jose Israel Ortez. This man was the epitome of professionalism.
MSC Cruises describes the butler service this way: “Your Butler is at your service around-the-clock, as you wish. Trained to the standards of the prestigious International Butler Academy in the Netherlands, MSC Yacht Club Butlers are dedicated to your ease and well being throughout your stay.
Butler services include:
• Private priority embarkation with luggage assistance from our Butlers and priority debarkation
• Champagne and canapés served upon your arrival at the MSC Yacht Club
• Unpacking and packing of suitcases, shoes shined and more, upon request
• Afternoon Tea in the British tradition, served by Butlers
• Daily delivery of your favorite international newspaper in its original format
• Arrangements for cocktail parties, en suite dining and more”
Here we are looking at the Concierge Reception Area inside the MSC Yacht Club from the staircase. What kind of services can you expect to receive from the Concierge team?
- Priority reservations for on board services, specialty restaurants and the MSC Aurea Spa
- Services to make each destination visit go smoothly, providing detailed information on local attractions, and priority reservations for shore excursions
- Arranging unique and unforgettable private onshore excursions with optional private photographer
- Reserving private out-of-hours en suite shopping, accompanied by your Butler
Heading down the staircase to the Concierge Reception Area and the Top Sail Lounge.
Is that sparkly enough for you? Who doesn’t love sparkles and the MSC Cruises golden Swarovski crystal staircase is turned up a notch in the MSC Yacht Club. You can’t possibly walk down these stairs and not feel special.
The massive skylight is a welcome sight if you spend any time inside. The sunshine beams down and across the staircase and the entire reception area.
At the top of the stairs on deck 16 is a small sitting area. On disembarkation day we sat here for breakfast as the Top Sail Lounge was completely packed with guests grabbing breakfast before leaving the ship.
The MSC Yacht Club onboard MSC Preziosa is located forward on decks 15, 16, and 18 with the Top Sail Lounge and Concierge Reception Area located on deck 15 while my suite was located on deck 16. The One Pool deck is located on deck 18, which we will get to in its own separate post. There are 69 suites in the MSC Yacht Club on the MSC Preziosa with all of the suites located on deck 15 and 16 except for three Executive and Family Suites located forward on deck 12.
MSC Yacht Club offers exclusive onboard amenities just for Yacht Club guests such as, select complimentary wines, spirits, beers, and soft drinks in all MSC Yacht Club venues, private restaurant, access to The One Pool, Bar & Grill featuring a shaded swimming pool, spa baths, solarium and a superbly-stocked bar and grill, Top Sail Lounge, offering a varied selection of complimentary drinks, gourmet delicacies, and desserts throughout the day and night, direct private entrance to MSC Aurea Spa, complimentary one-time use of the thermal suite (sauna & steam room), select en suite spa services (additional fees apply), private en suite & after hours shopping, private shore excursions and chauffeur-driven guided tours with private photographer option (additional fees apply) and priority check-in and check-out.
The location of our room was perfect with easy access to the Top Sail Lounge, the One Pool, and the rear entrance with the stairs and elevators nearby. There’s also an elevator located inside the Yacht Club that can take you between the different floors as well as the Aurea Spa with direct access to the spa and fitness center.
Our MSC Yacht Club Deluxe Suite was our little haven after long days in port. Our Mediterranean cruise was port intensive with only one sea day so being able to return to the suite, grab a drink in the room or the Top Sail Lounge, was absolute perfection. You can read my review of our suite here and you can view either video one or video two on YouTube.
Overall, the benefits of staying in the MSC Yacht Club are incredibly beneficial if you’re looking for something different and unique. Having a private lounge, a dedicated dining room, an exclusive pool, Concierge staff to help us with everything and anything, and of course, butler service, made this cruise one of the best I’ve ever taken. I’m completely and totally spoiled now and don’t know how I’ll do on future cruises without all of the amazing amenities.
Stay tuned for more on the MSC Yacht Club on MSC Preziosa where I’ll cover the Top Sail Lounge, The One Pool, La Palmeraie, and of course, the rest of the ship where there’s so much to enjoy and discover.
