When Royal Caribbean‘s Oasis of the Seas underwent a revitalization, I was lucky enough to be onboard for her transatlantic crossing to the United States. Although I watch from afar now, I am excited to see that Royal Caribbean‘s newest and largest ship, Harmony of the Seas, is making her way from Spain and across the Atlantic to her new homeport of Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Watch this video and hear from Captain and crew about what it takes to make this epic journey. As they travel the 4,100 nautical miles from Málaga, Spain to Fort Lauderdale, Royal Caribbean stocked the ship with necessities like food.
Did you know that the Harmony of the Seas will carry the following for her historic journey?
- 90,000 fresh eggs
- 22,000 lbs. of potatoes
- 40,000 lbs. of beef
- Over 1,000 lbs. of ice cream
And what do you do with all those sea days? Plan nine days of entertainment with extraordinary activities like a blow out Halloween celebration and even Oktoberfest with authentic German food.
Wishing all those onboard the Harmony of the Seas, both passengers and crew, smooth sailing and lots of fun. See you soon in Florida!
