Anyone thinking about a cruise might think they’re all the same.  But this is absolutely not true. Virgin Voyages is taking cruising to an all-new level with its adults-only cruising. It truly feels like a high-end resort at sea. You won’t find any of the kitschy games or activities, announcements, etc. It’s all about whatever you want to do, whenever you want to do it. How does that sound now?

After boarding and dropping things off in my cabin, I went for a quick walk around the ship’s deck and I became increasingly more excited. So many places to sit out near the pools and hot tubs, but even more private places to sit if it’s just you and that someone special. No matter how many people are onboard the ship, you can always have that perfect private moment.

After walking around the ship, I decided to go back to my cabin and get ready for dinner. My first stop was a cocktail at On the Rocks Martini and Cocktail Bar. Delicious! And it’s not like on other cruise lines where you need 10 of their bottom-shelf drinks to make one decent drink. One drink on Virgin Voyages will take care of you as they are carefully crafted cocktails made with top-shelf liquors.

I returned to my cabin at sailaway as I wanted a low-key sailaway out of Miami. What a great view!

My dinner reservation was in the much-talked-about and super-popular Pink Agave. I can see why this restaurant is always packed because the drinks are good, the service is fast and professional, and the food is somewhat familiar, yet interesting. This isn’t your typical Tex-Mex restaurant. Instead at Pink Agave they are offering an elevated Mexican dining experience that truly works. I started my evening in Pink Agave with a classic Margarita on the rocks with a salted rim.

Since I had eaten a little before, I decided on just the guacamole and I do believe it’s one of the best I’ve ever had. I love the unexpected addition of pomegranate seeds on top. But no worries as I will definitely eat here and in the many other specialty dining restaurants that are included.
