Happy New Year and Hello 2013!

What an amazing year 2012 was for me.  I traveled every month last year, sometimes many times within the same month.  Here is a list of all the places I traveled to in 2012:

January: Amsterdam
February: Iceland, Las Vegas
March: Colombia
April: Celebrity Eclipse cruise: San Juan, St. Thomas, St. Maarten
May: Jamaica
June: Cancun
July: Carnival Glory cruise: St.  John; Boston
August: Carnival Magic cruise: Galveston, TX, Montego Bay, Grand Cayman, Cozumel; Charlotte, NC
September: Canyon Ranch in Lenox, MA
October: Lynchburg, VA and NC
November: Fort Lauderdale, Las Vegas; Celebrity Summit cruise: San Juan, St. Croix, St. Kitts, Nevis, Dominica, Grenada, St. Thomas
December: Cancun; Celebrity Reflection cruise: San Juan, St. Maarten, St. Kitts; Reykjavik, Iceland; Berlin, Germany

That’s five cruises with three trips including San Juan, two to St. Maarten, two to St. Thomas, two to St. Kitts, and two to Jamaica as well as two to Las Vegas and two to Cancun.  I’ve gone to cold places, hot places, local, domestic and international, and everywhere in between.

Some trips have been with my husband, my husband and son, extended family, friends, or by myself.  I’ve waited countless hours online in airports, specifically in the line at security and Customs.  Each trip took me to somewhere new, either personally or geographically.  I learned quite a bit about myself in 2012 including the need to learn how to pack lighter, to search out and listen to people’s stories as that’s the best part about traveling, how much I loved my family, and how nothing rivals your own bed and pillows.

I have many posts to update all of you on, including my great New Year’s trip that took my husband and I to Iceland and then onto Berlin for New Year’s Eve.  As I look forward in 2013, I don’t know what will happen or where I will go, but I’m so glad to have all of you along with me for the ride.  We will have some new things happening including contests so please remember to come back, comment on the posts, and stay involved.
