Walking across the Strip to The Cosmopolitan

If you’re headed to Las Vegas, you’ll want to make sure you find somewhere to stay that might be slightly further from the hustle and bustle of the many nightclubs and casinos. Some people might fancy their chances and enjoy being close to casinos though, in which case you’ll want a hotel close to the Las Vegas Strip of casinos, and other businesses. Before you enter into a real casino, you might want to get a bit of practice in beforehand on an online gambling site like SBOBET. Regardless of where you decide to stay, you’ll probably feel slightly overwhelmed by the sheer number of hotel choices available. Did you know that fifteen of the world’s 25 largest hotels by room count are on the Strip, with a total of over 62,000 rooms? If you’re looking for a luxury option, The Cosmopolitan Las Vegas just might be perfect match for you.

Opened in 2010, The Cosmopolitan Las Vegas is actually two highrise towers and features 2,995 rooms, many of which have their own private balcony. The awards keep coming in for this hotel:

  • In 2013, The Cosmopolitan was rated “The Best Hotel in the World” by Gogobot as well as “The Best of Las Vegas” readers’ choice award from the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
  • In 2014 it received the “Forbes Travel Guide Four Star Award.”
  • In 2015 it was named to the Condé Nast Traveller Gold List as one of the “Top Hotels in the World.”

With two towers, East and West, you can’t miss its presence overlooking the heart of The Strip, even if a cheap Hello Kitty knock off character tries to block your view.

Inside The Cosmopolitan Las Vegas you’ll find modern luxury combined with digital art both in the lobby and in the elevators. Have you seen my review of my room? It’s definitely worth a look.

I’m crazy about maneki cats and when I saw that The Cosmopolitan Las Vegas had one as part of their “Lucky Cat: An Art Exhibition Celebrating Fortune” exhibit, I practically ran over to it. It’s open after 4 pm and if you walk up and place your palm on its paw, you’ll receive a fortune card.

You never really know what you’ll see in Las Vegas like people dressed up in costumes like Transformers, Chewbacca, Chucky, or people shoving leaflets of naked women in your face. To see a real bride leaving The Cosmopolitan to get her picture taken in front of the hotel was a nice change from all the craziness elsewhere on The Strip. In a word, this hotel is classy without any of the skankiness you might find elsewhere in Las Vegas.

The Cosmopolitan Las Vegas is a modern, chic, and exciting hotel with great restaurants, bars, nightclubs, boutique shopping, three different pools, and of course, 100,000 square feet of gaming in their casino.
